Question: We have a gas pipe running past our site that is apparently 3 meters deep, according to the plans we have been able to get. Can your locator go that deep?
Answer:
According to the manufacturer that makes the locator we use, it is capable of locating up to 5 meters deep.
However the deepest we have seen it go to date is 3.5 meters, when we had to locate a gas transmission pipeline – although we did actually dig down with our NDD truck to expose the pipe, and found it just over 4 meters deep.
